unaltered copy of that which was revealed to ourprophet MOhammad nothing less and nothing more.

A group of trustworthy scribes chosen by theprophet himself took note of the revelations from thevery beginning up to the end, and Moslims had it aduty of must, to read and recite the verses by day andnight. A large group of Moslims committed the bookto memory and a group of them had it on the scrolls.

Those who had the book in their memory and thosewho could recite it for the others, had always had avery respectful position among the believer. Suchcustoms and else, prevented the least amount ofchanges or any alteration to take place in the book.

Besides that, God Himself has promised andguaranteed to look after His book and keep it safe andsecure until the end.:--

" We have without doubt, sent down the QURAN, andWe will assuredly guard it."

THE HOLY QURN S 51 9

All the learned, and researcher fo Islam, whetherSHIITE or SONNI, agree that the least alteration has

not ever occured int this Holy Book. Some literate persons, discuss some rare andobscure tradition( HADIS )that may mean that somechanges have taken place, but the highest majority ofthose who have the knowledge of Islam, reject that, taking it false and the mistake of some una warecomm entators.

Such improvidents who lack forethought, by suchfalse ideas strike upon the validity of the mostimportant DIVINE BOOK, in contrast to the belief ofall the learned Moslims of different sects, whichmaintain that QURN is unaltered for the least ofwords. These unwise friends, water the mills of theenemy through their ignorance, and bring into questionthe book which is sent by Allah, and has beenpromised to be guarded by Allah.

If we carefully study the ways that the book wasrevealed to the prophet and collected by the chosenscribes, and how it was guarded, written, memorizedand recited by so many firm and true believers, nodoubt remains as to any alteration or the change ofeven an epsilon in the whole work.

On the other hand, of the imaginary or assumedQuran with some alteration, not ever a copy exists anywhere, or in any hand, so as to differ with the famous HOLY QURN which all the Moslims hold as their SACRED DIVINE BOOK.

To day the Holy Quran is found in every house andin every library. Even those Qurans written severalhundred years ago are kept in our MUSEUMS andthose in the non Islamic countries, and no one can findthe least differnces in all the existing Qurans throughout the wide world.

To day the roads to investigations are open to all, and anyone who doubts, may look for it himself andmake sure that QURN has not been altered for theleast.

" So announce glad tidings to My Servants to thosewho listen to My PRECEPTS, and follow what is the best in them. Those are the ones that Allah has guided and those are endued with understanding."

THE HOLY QURN S 93: 71 81

To day, in our religious schools, the knowledge of

صفحه 58

QURN, is extensively taught, and one of the mostimportant of our lessons in this field is the UNCHANGEABILITY OF QURN.

72QURN AND THE SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL NEEDS OFHUMAN

WE BELIEVE that whatever is needed inSPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL dimentions of man, is fundamentally found in the holy QURN. All the governmental and political tenets, all the social principles, the bases of symbiosis, the fundamentals of war and peace, the elements of judgements and economics, and whatever is needed, can be traced in the BOOK and taken out for use, so as to alight the space of human life:

" And We have sent down to you the BOOK, explainingall things, It is a GUIDE, a Mercy, and Glad tidings toMuslims."

THE HOLY QURN S 61: 98

This is why WE BELIEVE that Islam is notAPART of politics and diplomacy. This belief makes

the Muslims to rule over themselves, so as to revivethe precious Islamic values in their societies, leading towards justice and equity. A Moslim Must be just and fair to his enemy as he does justice to friends:

" O, Believers! Stand up firmly to hold JUSTICE, and beas a witness to ALLAH, even against yourselves or your parents or your kins, and whether it be against rich or poor for God is preferable to all that.

follow not your lusts, lest you swerve. If you fail to dojustice, verily Allah is aware of all that you do."

THE HOLY QURN S 4: 531

" O, BELIEVERS! Stand up firmly for the sake of Allah, and bear true witness, and let not the hatered for other men, turn you away from doing justice. deal justly. Justice is nearer to PIETY. Have fear of Allah.

He is aware of all that you do.

THE HOLY

QURN S 5: 8

82RECITATION ,CONTEMPLATION ,AND ACTION

WE BELIEVE that the recitation of QURN isthe best of worship, because it inspires the reciter to

صفحه 60

think and to contemplate, by which actions may result. QURN addressing the prophet says:

" Keep vigil all the night( i. e stand in prayer )except fora few hour half the night, more or less; and with measured and." rhythmic tone recite the QURN."

THE HOLY

QURN S 37: 2 4

And addressing all the Muslims, QURN has:

" Read you the QURN as much as you can."

THE HOLY QURN S 37: 42

" Do they not contemplate the QURAN,( so as to catchits meanings )or their hearts are locked up?"

THE HOLY QURN S 74: 42

" And We have indeed made the QURN, easy tounderstand and remember. Then is there anyone who may receive admonition?"

THE HOLY QURN S 45: 71

" And QURN is a book which We have revealed as ablessing: So follow it, and be righteous, so that you receive God's Mercy."

THE HOLY QURN S 6: 851

Therefore those who read QURN, without any

contemplation, and actoin, lose a lot for ignoring twomain, important elements( thought and act )and grasping only one.) reading

(92THE DEVIATING DISCUSSIONS

WE BELIEVE that some mysterious hands havealways tried to deviate and swerve Muslims from contemplation and thought over the verses of QURN.

The OMAYYED and BANIABBAS dynasties engaged the Muslims on void disputes, to answer thequestion whether QURN is old or new!? Is it createdor is eternally old as God!? Such prolong controversi esdivided the united Muslims into rival groups altercatingand fighting each other. To day we know thatthousands of bloods have been shed upon sucharguments about nonesense, and quarrels for nothing! while any one with a common sense can answer thateasily: If by QURN, the paper and ink, the coverand the painting is meant, it is certainly created and issomething new. On the other hand if by QURAN the

صفحه 62

meaning is the aim, it is certainly among theknowledge of God, and as the God's Attributes are not apart of His substance, one may say that QURN is as old as God Himself.

But the inhumn, merciless governors tried to keepMuslims busy on these useless subjects; and now adaystoo, we see that the same thing and similar affairshappen in Muslim societies, so as to keep them asideof contemplation and thought.

03RULES AND REGULATIONS OF COMMENTAT INGQURN

WE BELIEVE that the words of QURAN shouldcommonly be takem for their fundamental meanings and not for their connotations, with the exception of some, that clear reasons prove them to mean other ways. The verses in QURN should never be commentated on the basis of conjectures or self interests. As an instance when we read in QURN:

" And he who was blind in this world, will be blind inthe hereafter( next world ), and most astray from the path.) of salvation (
