A Glance at the book Badai al-durar

A Critical Review of the Quranic Lexicon

The present article is a critique and a detailed and scholarly introduction of the Farhangnameh -e- Qurani (Quranic Lexicon) which has been published by Astan -e- Quds -e- Razavi. In this article, initially the mode of compilation of this work has been discussed, and later some of its discrepencies and errors explained.
Finally suggestions for improving the work have been given. It is noteworthy that the writer of this article is himself one of those involved in the compilation of this lexicon.
