Ziyarat Al-Arba'ein
اَلسَّلامُ عَلى وَلِيِّ اللهِ وَحَبيبِهِ،
ASSALAAMO 'ALAA WALIYYILLAAHE WA HABEEBEHI..
Peace be upon the intimate servant of Allah and His most-beloved.
اَلسَّلامُ عَلى خَليلِ اللهِ و نجيبهِ
ASSALAAMO 'ALAA KHALEELILLAAHE WA NAJEEBEHI
Peace be upon the friend of Allah and His elite.
اَلسَّلامُ عَلى صَفِيِّ اللهِ وَابْنِ صَفِيِّهِ،
ASSALAAMO 'ALAA SAFIYYILLAAHE WABNA SAFIYYEHI
Peace be upon the choice of Allah and son of His choice.
السلامُ على الحسينِ المظلوم ِالشّهيدِ
ASSALAAMO 'ALAL HUSYANIL MAZLOOMISH SHAHEEDE
Peace be upon al-Hussain the wronged and martyred.
اَلسَّلامُ على اَسيرِ الْكُرُباتِ وَقَتيلِ الْعَبَراتِ،
ASAAALAAMO 'ALAA ASEERIL KOROBAATE WA QATEELIL 'ABARAATE
Peace be upon the captive of agonies and victim of the shed tears.
اَللّهُمَّ اِنّي اَشْهَدُ اَنَّهُ وَلِيُّكَ وَابْنُ وَلِيِّكَ
ALLAAHUMMAA INNEE ASH-HADO ANNAHU WALIYYOKA WABNO WALIYYEKA
O Allah, I do bear witness that he is verily Your intimate servant and son of Your intimate servant,
وَصَفِيُّكَ وَابْنُ صَفِيِّكَ
WA SAFIYYOKA WABNO SAFIYYEKa
Your choice and son of Your choice,
الْفائِزُ بِكَرامَتِكَ
ALFAAA-EZO BE-KARAAMATEKA
and the winner of Your honoring.
اَكْرَمْتَهُ بالشهادةِ
AKRAMTAHU BISH SHAHAADATE
You have honored him with martyrdom,
وَحَبَوْتَهُ بِالسَّعادَةِ،
WA HABAWTAHU BIS SA-A'DATE
endued him with happiness,
وَاَجْتَبَيْتَهُ بِطيبِ الْوِلادَةِ
WAJ-TABAYTAHU BE-TEEBIL WELAADATE
privileged him with legitimate birth,
وَجَعَلْتَهُ سَيِّداً مِنَ السادَةِ وَقائِداً مِنَ الْقادَةِ،
WA JA-'ALTAHU SAYYEDAN MENAS SAADATE WA QAAA-EDAN MENAL QAADATE
made him one of the chiefs, one of the leaders,
وَذائِداً مِنْ الْذادَةِ
WA THA-EDAN MINATH THAADAH
and one of the defenders (of Your religion),
وَاَعْطَيْتَهُ مَواريثَ الاْنْبِياءِ
WAA A'-TAYTAHU MAWAAREESUL AMBEYA-E
gave him the inheritances of the Prophets,
وَجَعَلْتَهُ حُجَّةً عَلى خَلْقِكَ مِنَ الاْوْصِياءِ
WA JA-A'LTAHU HUJJATAN 'ALAA KHALQEKA MENAL AWSEYAAA-E
and chose him as argument against Your created beings and one of the Prophets' successors.
فَاَعْذَرَ فىِ الدُّعاءِ
FA-A'-ZARA FID DO-'A-E
So, he called to you flawlessly,
وَمَنَحَ النُّصْحَ
WA MANAHAN NUS-HA
gave advices,
وَبَذَلَ مُهْجَتَهُ فيكَ
WA BAZALA MOHJATAHU FEEKA
and sacrificed his soul for You
لِيَسْتَنْقِذَ عِبادَكَ مِنَ الْجَهالَةِ
LE-YASTANQEZA 'EBAADEKA MENAL JAHAALATI
to save Your servants from ignorance
وَحَيْرَةِ الضَّلالَةِ
WA HAYRATIZ ZALAALATE
and perplexity of straying off.
وَقَدْ تَوازَرَ عَلَيْهِ مَنْ غَرَّتْهُ الدُّنْيا
WA QAD TAWAZARA 'ALAYHE MAN GHARRAT-HUD DUNYAA
Yet, those whom were seduced by this worldly life,
وَباعَ حَظَّهُ بِالاْرْذَلِ الاْدْنى
WA BA'A HAZZAHU BIL-ARZALIL ADNAA
who sold their share (of reward) with the lowliest and meanest,
وَشَرى آخِرَتَهُ بِالَّثمَنِ الاْوْكَسِ
WA SHARAA AAKHERATAHU BIS-SAMANIL AWKASE
retailed their Hereafter with the cheapest price,
وَتَغَطْرَسَ وَتَرَدّى فِي هَواهُ
WA TA-GHAT-RASA WA TARADDAA FEE HAWAAHO
acted haughtily, perished because of following their desires,
وَاَسْخَطَكَ وَاَسْخَطَ نَبِيَّكَ
WA ASKHATAKA WA ASKHATA NABIYYAKA
brought to themselves Your wrath and the wrath of Your Prophet,
وَاَطاعَ مِنْ عِبادِكَ اَهْلَ الشِّقاقِ وَالنِّفاقِ
WA ATA'A MIN 'EBAADEKA AHLASH SHEQAAQE WAN NEFAAQE
and obeyed the dissident and hypocritical servants of You
وَحَمَلَةَ الاْوْزارِ الْمُسْتَوْجِبينَ النّارَ
WA HAMALATAL AWZAARIL MUSTAWJEBEENAN NAAR
and the bearers of the burdens (of sins) who deserve Hellfire - all those supported each other against him.
، فَجاهَدَهُمْ فيكَ صابِراً مُحْتَسِباً
FA-JAAHADA HUM FEEKA SABERAN MOHTASEBAN
However, he fought against them painstakingly with steadfastness expecting Your reward
حَتّى سُفِكَ فِي طاعَتِكَ دَمُهُ
HATTAA SOFEKA FEE TA'ATEKA DAMOHU
until his blood was shed on account of his obedience to You
وَاسْتُبيحَ حَريمُهُ
WASTOBEEHA HAREEMOHU
and his women were violated.
اَللّهُمَّ فَالْعَنْهُمْ لَعْناً وَبيلاً
ALLAAHUMMA FAL-'ANHUM LA'NAN WABEELAN
So, O Allah, pour heavy curses on them
وَعَذِّبْهُمْ عَذاباً اَليماً
WA 'AZZIBHUM 'AZAABAN ALEEMAN
and chastise them with painful chastisement.
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ اللهِ
ASSALAAMO 'ALAYKA YABNA RASOOLILLAAHE
Peace be upon you, O son of Allah's Messenger.
اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ سَيِّدِ الاْوْصِياءِ
ASSALAAMO 'ALAYKA YABNA SAYYEDIL AWSEYAAA
Peace be upon you, O son of The Chief of The Prophets' successors.
