وَأَعْلامُ الْهُدى
WA A'-LAAMUL HODAA
the signs of guidance,
وَالْعُرْوَةُ الْوُثْقى
WAL 'URWATUL WUSQAA
the firmest handle (of Islam),
وَالْحُجَّةُ على اَهْلِ الدُّنْيا
WAL HUJJATO 'ALAA AHLID DUNYAA
and the decisive Argument against the inhabitants of the world.
وَأَشْهَدُ اَنّي بِكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ وَبِاِيابِكُمْ،
WA ASH-HADO ANNEE BEKUM MOMENUN WA BE-EYAABEKUM
I also bear witness that I believe in you all and in your Return,
مُوقِنٌ بِشَرايِع ِ ديني وَخَواتيمِ عَمَلي
MOOQENUN BE-SHARAA-YE-'E DEENEE WA KHAWATEEMY 'AMALEE
I have full confidence in the laws of my religion and in the seals of my deeds,
وَقَلْبي لِقَلْبِكُمْ سِلْمٌ
WA QALBEE LE-QALBEKUM SILMUN
my heart is at peace with you all,
وَاَمْري لاِمْرِكُمْ مُتَّبِعٌ
WA AMREE LE-AMREKUM MUTTABE-'UN
all my affairs are based on your commands,
وَنُصْرَتي لَكُمْ مُعَدَّةٌ
WA NUSRATEE LAKUM MO-'ADDATUN
and my support for you all is already all set
حَتّى يَأذَنَ اللهُ لَكُمْ
HATTAA YAATHANALLAAHO LUKUM
until Allah permits you.
فَمَعَكُمْ مَعَكُمْ
FA-MA-'AKUM MA-'AKUM
So, I am with you. I am with you,
لا مَعَ عَدُوِّكُمْ
LAA MA-'A 'ADDUWWEKUM
not with your enemies.
صَلَواتُ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ
SALAWAATULLAAHE 'ALAYKUM
Allah's blessings be upon you,
وَعلى اَرْواحِكُمْ وَأَجْسادِكُمْ
WA 'ALAA ARWAAHEKUM WA AJSAADEKUM
upon your souls, upon your bodies,
وَشاهِدِكُمْ وَغائِبِكُمْ
WA SHAAHEDEKUM WA GHAAA-EBEKUM
upon the present and the absent from you,
وَظاهِرِكُمْ وَباطِنِكُمْ
WA ZAAHEREKUM WA BAATENEKUM
and upon the apparent and the invisible from you.
آمينَ رَبَّ الْعالِمينَ.
AAMEENA RABBAL 'ALAAMEENA
Respond to us, O Lord of the Worlds.
You may then offer a two-unit prayer and then pray Almighty Allah for anything you like. Then, you may return.
Ziyarat Abul Fazl Al 'Abbas (AS)
سَلامُ اللهِ وَسَلامُ مَلائِكَتِهِ الْمُقَرَّبينَ
SALAAMULLAAHI WA SALAAMU MALAA-EKATIHIL MUQARRABEEN
Greetings of Allah, and greetings of His favourite angels,
وَاَنْبِيائِهِ الْمُرْسَلينَ وَعِبادِهِ الصّالِحينَ
WA AMBIYA-EHIL MURSALEEN WA 'IBAADIHIS SAALIHEEN
His commissioned Prophets, His pious servants,
وَجَميعِ الشُّهَداءِ وَالصِّدّيقينَ
WA JAMEE-'ISH SHUHADA-E WAS SIDDEEQEEN
all martyrs, and truthfuls,
وَالزَّاكِياتُ الطَّيِّباتُ فيما تَغْتَدي وَتَرُوحُ عَلَيْكَ
WAZ ZAAKIYAATUT TAYYIBAAT FEEMAA TAGHTADEE WA TAROOHU 'ALAYKA
and also true blessings, giving you joy and confidence, be on you,
يَا بْنَ اَمير ِ الْمُؤْمِنينَ ِ
YABNA AMEERIL MOOMINEEN
O the son of the Commander of The Faithful.
أَشْهَدُ لَكَ بِالتَّسْليمِ وَالتَّصْديقِِ
ASHHADU LAKA BIT TASLEEM WAT TASDEEQI
I bear witness that you resigned yourself to the will of Allah. Sincerely accepted as true,
وَالْوَفاءِ وَالنَّصيحَةِ
WAL WAFA-E WAN NASEEHATI
faithfully kept your promise, showed yourself as a reliable friend,
لِخَلَفِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ الْمُرْسَلِ
LIKHALAFIN NABIYY SALLALLAAHU 'ALAYHI WA AALIHIL MURSAL
with regard to the grandson of the Prophet, (blessings of Allah be on him and on his children),
وَالسِّبْطِ الْمُنْتَجَبِ، وَالدَّليلِ الْعالِمِ،
WAS SIBTIL MUNTAJAB WAD DALEELIL 'AALIM
be (Hussain) was his (Prophet's) chosen grandson, the sagacious guide,
وَالْوَصِيِّ الْمُبَلِّغِ، وَالْمَظْلُوم ِالْمُهْتَضَمِ،
WAL WASYIL MUBALLIGH WAL MAZLOOMIL MUHTAZAM
the successor who promoted the religion the wrongfully oppressed,
فَجَزاكَ اللهُ عَنْ رَسُولِهِ وَعَنْ اَمير ِالْمُؤْمِنينَ
FAJAZAAKALLAAHU 'AN RASOOLIHI WA 'AN AMEERIL MOOMINEEN
so Allah rewarded you on behalf of His Messenger, The Commander of The Faithful,
وَعَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ صَلَواتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِمْ
WA 'ANIL HASAN WAL HUSAYN SALAWAATULLAAHI A'LAYHIM
Hasan and Hussain, (blessings of Allah be on them),
اَفْضَلَ الْجَزاءِ بِما صَبَرْتَ وَاحْتَسَبْتَ وَاَعَنْتَ
AFZALAL JAZA-E BIMAA SABARTA WAH-TASABTA WA A-'ANTA
the best recompense that your resignation, thoughtfulness, and support (to Allah's religion) have earned for you.
فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى الدّارِ
FANI'A-MA 'UQBAD DAR
How excellent is the reward available in the life eternal !
لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ قَتَلَكَ
LA-'ANA LLAAHU MAN QATALAKA
Curse of Allah be on those who killed you,
