السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابنَ خَديجَةَ الكُبرى
As-salaamo 'alaika yabna KhaDija-tal-Kubra
Peace be upon you, O son of Khadijatal- kubra
السَّلام عَلَيْكَ يا ثارَ اللهِ وابنَ ثارِهِ والوِترَ المَوتوُرَ
As-salaamo 'alaika yaa tharal-laahe wabna tharehi wal witral maWtoor
Peace be upon you, O the avenge of Allah and the son His avenge, and the victim who lost everyone
اَشهَدُ اَنَّكَ قَد اَقَمتَ الصَّلاة َ وَآتَيتَ الزَّكاة َ
Ash-hado annaka qad aqamtas salata wa aataitaz zakat
I bear witness that verily you established the prayers And gave the zakat (prescribed share) to the needy
وأمرتَ باُلمِعروف ِوَنَهَيتَ عَنِ المُنكرِ
wa amarta bil ma'rufi wa nahaita 'anil munkari
And commanded to do what is right and lawful And not to do that which is wrong and unlawful
وَاَطَعتَ اللهَ وَرَسولَهُ حَتّى اَتاكَ اليَقينُ
Wa ata' tal-laaha wa Rasoolahoo hatta atakal yaqeen
And obeyed Allah and His Messenger until the inevitable came unto you
فَلَعَنَ اللهُ اُمَةً قَتَلَتكَ وَلَعَنَ اللهُ اُمَةً ظَلَمَتكَ
Fa-la'nal-laho ummatan qatalatka, Wa-la'nal-laho ummatan zalamatka
So, Allah curse those who killed you And Allah curse those who oppressed you
وَلَعَنَ اللهُ اُمَةً سَمِعت بِذلك فَرَضِيَت به
Wa la'nal-laaho ummatan same'at be Tha-leka fara-zeyat behi
And Allah curse those who heard the event and rested satisfied
يا مَولاي يا ابا عَبدِ اللهِ
Ya maulaya ya Aba 'Abdillah
O My Master, O Abu 'Abdullah!
اَشهَدُ اَنّكَ كُنتَ نوُراً في الأصلابِ الشّامِخَةِ وَالأرحام ِ المُطَهَرَةِ
Ash-hado annaka kunta nooran fil ashlaabish shaam-e khah wal ar-haamil motah'harah
I bear witness that verily you were a light in the sublime loins and purified wombs
لم تُنَجِسْكَ الجاهِليَّةُ باَنِجاسِها
lam tonaj-jiskal jaaheliyato be-anja-sehaa
The impurities of ignorance did not even touch you
وَلَم تُلبِسكَ مِن مُدلَهِمّاتِ ثِيابِها
wa-lam tulbiska min mud-lahem-maate theya-beha
Nor could its soiled and dirty bearing ever smear you
وَاَشهَدُ أنَكَ مِن دَعائِم الدّين وَاَركانِ المُؤمِنينَ
Wa ash-hado an-naka min da'a-e-mid-deen wa ar-kaanil momeneen
I bear witness that, verily, you are the mainstay of the religion, and the supporter of the faithful ones
وَاَشهَدُ اَنّكَ الإمامُ البَّرُ التَّقيُ الرَّضيُ الزَّكيُّ الهادِي المَهدِيُ
Wa ash hado an-nakal Imaamul bar-rut-taqi-yur-razi-yul-zaki-yul haadi-yul MahdyO
I bear witness that, verily, you are a pious, God-fearing, favorite, wise And rightly guided (Imam)
وَاَشهَدُ اَنَّ الأَئمّةَ مِن وُلْدِكَ كَلِمةُ التَّقوى
Wa ash-hado an-nal aim-matA min wuldeka kalematut taqwa
I bear witness that the Imams, in your progeny, are the words of piety
وَاَعلامُ الهُدى وَالعُروةُ الوُثقى وَالحُجَّةُ عَلى اَهلِ الدُنيا
wa a'laamul hoda wal 'urwatul wusqaa wal-hujjato 'alaa ahlid-duniyaa
And the signs of guidance And the safe handle of Islam, And the decisive argument for the humankind.
وَاُشهِدُ اللهَ وَملائكَتَهُ وَاَنبِياءَهُ وَرُسُلَهُ
wa ush hedul-laha wa mala-e-katahoo wa anbeyA-a-hoo wa rosolAhO
I call Allah to give witness, and also His Angels And His Prophets and His Messenger
اَنّي بِكُمْ مُؤمِنٌ وَبإيِابِكم مُوقنٌ بَشَرائع ِ ديني وخواتيِم ِ عَمَلي
eni bekom mo-e-mennon was be-eiabekom moqenon be shraye'a denee was khwateema 'amali
That, verily, I believe in (all of) you And that I am sure of your Return Joined to the divine laws of my belief and my accomplishments
وقَلبي لقَلبِكمْ سِلمٌ وَاَمري لامْرِكُمْ مُتَّبعٌ
wa qalbi le-qalbekum silmun wa amri le amrekum mut-tabe-'un
And my heart is resigned to yours And my conduct is following the example of yours
صَلَواتُ اللهِ عَلَيكُمْ وَعَلى اَرواحِكُمْ وَعَلى اَجسادِكُمْ
salwaatullahY alaikum wa-'alaa arwah-e-kum wa alaa aj-sa-dekum
Blessings of Allah be on (all of) you and on your souls And on your bodies
وعَلَى اَجسامِكُمْ وَعَلى شاهِدِكُمْ
wa 'alaa aj-sa-mekum wa 'ala sha-he-dekum
and on your forms and (when) you are in view
وَعَلَى غائِبِكُمْ وَعَلَى ظاهرِكُمْ وعلى باطِنِكُمْ
wa 'alaa ghaa-e-bekum wa 'alaa zaah-e-rekum wa 'alaa baa-te-nekum
and (when) you are out of sight and on your style and on your substance.
then fall on the grave, kiss it and say:
باَبي أَنتَ وَ اُمي يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ اللهِ باَبي أَنتَ وَ اُمي يا ابا عَبدِ اللهِ
Be abi anta wa ummi yabna rasoolallah, Be abi anta wa ummi ya aba 'abdillah
My father and mother be sacrificed for you, O son of the Messenger of Allah! My father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Abu 'Abdullah!
لَقَد عَظُمتِ الرَّزيَّةُ و جَلَتِ المُصيبَةُ بِكَ عَلَينا
Laqad azomatir raziyyato wa jallatil museebato bika 'alaina
Verily terrible was the calamity and your suffering casts gloom upon us
وَعَلى جميع ِ اَهلِ السَّمواتِ والأرضِ
wa 'ala jamee'ey ahlis samawatey wal arz.
And upon all the people of the heavens and the earth.
فلَعَنَ اللهُ اُمةً أَسرجَت و َاَلجمَتْ وَتَهَيَأت وتنقَّبَتْ لِقِتالِكَ
Fala'anAL llaho ummatan asrajat wa aljamat wattahiya-at wa tanaqabat liqitalik.
Therefore, curse of Allah be on the people who saddled up and gave rein to their horses and prepared to kill you.
يا مَوْلايَ ياابا عَبدِ اللهِ
Ya mAWlaya ya aba 'abdillah
O my Master, O Aba ′Abdullah!
قَصَدْتُ حَرَمَكَ وَاَتَيْتُ اِلى مَشْهَدِكَ
qasadto haramakA wa atayto ila mash-hadika
I moved towards your sacred shrine and came to visit you
اَسألُ اللهَ بالِشأنِ الذَي لَكَ عِندَهُ
As -alollaha bishanil lazi laka 'indahu
I beseech Allah by the status that you enjoy with Him
وَ بِالمَحَلِّ الَّذي لَكَ لَدَيهِِ
wabil mahalEl lazi laka ladayhey
And in the position that you enjoy with Him
أَنْ يُصَليَ علَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ
an yusallia 'ala mohammedin wa'aaley mohammed
To send blessings on Mohammad and on the progeny of Muhammad
وَاَنْ يَجعَلَني مَعَكُمْ في الدُنيا وَالآخِرةِ
wa an yaj'alani ma'Akum fidduniya wal -Aakhira
And keep me with you in this world and in the Hereafter
